The origin of Metalis dates back to the creation of the company FALGY in 1929, created by MM. FALCONNET and GIRARDIN. Specialized in the manufacturing of flat springs, FALGY became FALCONNET in 1947 and next Metalis in 2001, following to the acquisition of SIOR in 1998, specialized in precision stamping.

In April 2012, Metalis seized the opportunity to thank its customers and suppliers, partners for 75 years and published a book of 300 pages, « Metalis, 75 years of human adventure », written by the daily players, retired people or current employees, customers and suppliers.

This book relates the history of the group, which knew an important international growth in the 2000s, after joining the Dutch group Aalberts in 2002. After more than 15 years of belonging to this group, Metalis has multiplied its size by five!
